Global Purchasing /Souring SpecialistRandstad in Savannah, GAposted on02/05/2013| 731 viewsemail to a friendprintsalary$ 55.00 - $ 85.00 per yearjob categoryfinance & economicslocationSavannah, GA 31409job typepermanentopenings1hours33 - 40+ hourseducationbachelors degreejob referenceS_151343We are looking for a Global Purchasing /Souring Specialist (Total Relocation Available)Location:Savannah, GA (Full Relocation Available)Pay:Salary based on experience (55 K - 85K).Duration:Permanent (Direct-Hire)SUMMARYCoordinate, direct activities and individuals involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, advertising and other materials associated with the operations of plant operations, field service and Houston tooling.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES-Understand, establish and issue Request for Proposal (RFP) for Balance of Plant (BOP) , operations and field service procurements;-Establish, evaluate, and select suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base;-Review and evaluate monthly global sourcing data to make decisions that support company direction and growth;-Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority;-Manage contracts to verify vendor compliance to contract requirements;-Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action;-Performance review of suppliers for quality, delivery and reliability;-Establish long-term agreements with suppliers;-Support major procurement activities including procurement of capital equipment and new projects;-Problem solving of BOP and procurement issues as they arise;-Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories;-Provide support to upper management in effort to meet corporate goals, objectives and projects;Working hours: Business HoursKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
