Adjunct Construction Management Instructor - State of Georgia (Savannah, GA)

Savannah Technical College is seeking part-time instructors experienced in the Construction Management trades._*Responsibilities*_* Teaching duties include lesson planning, class lecture, performing live laboratory demonstration, and laboratory/classroom management.* Must be available to work during daytime hours.* Must be able to work at multiple Savannah Technical College campus locations, to include those in Savannah/Chatham, Liberty and Effingham Counties.* Coordinates and performs actual construction work on lab sites.* Other duties as assigned by Department Head or Program Dean.* Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory area.*__**_Education and Occupational Experiences_** Three to five years of Construction Management Experience in the field of residential construction.* A two year degree from an accredited institution in Construction Management or related field.* Supervisory or Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is desirable.* Comprehensive understanding and ability to demonstrate the skills and underlying theories of carpentry in building, repair, and renovation.* The ability to teach both theory based and hands-on courses.* Must possess the ability to repair, maintain, and operate all machines and tools.* Must have the ability to interact socially and professionally with faculty, staff, and students of Savannah Technical College.*_Physical Demands_*Work is typically performed in a construction / lab environment with the employee intermittently sitting, climbing, or standing. The employee frequently lifts objects up to 50LBS._*Salary*_Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.*_Application Procedure_*Position considered open until filled. Candidates must pass a criminal background check.
